While Kevin Saunders is proud of the work he's done for businesses and universities, church groups will always hold a special place in his heart. That's because he knows the power of belief, spiritual inspiration and an open heart -- the same power and inspirational faith that guided him from the depths of despair to the peak of victory. Lying in that hospital bed after the explosion that took his mobility and later when he needed spiritual inspiration and inner strength to make it as a Paralympian, Kevin’s belief in God’s plan kept him moving forward.
Kevin has performed as an inspirational speaker to untold numbers of believers over the past twenty years, from rural churches to the millions of viewers who tuned in to hear him share his inspirational story and testament of faith on the Hour of Power TV evangelism show hosted by Reverend Robert Schuller with an estimated viewing audience of over 20 million worldwide. Despite the accident that almost took my life, I've been very fortunate in a lot of ways" Kevin says. "But when I meet with believers, I like to remind them that my story isn't about one man's triumph -- it's about the healing power of inspirational faith, and the difference it can make in our day-to-day lives." He's both energized and humbled by the fact that his testimony has brought so many people closer to Christ.
He also encourages the church audience to keep a prayer journal and he helps them understand the power of prayers. He shows how important it is to give thanks to God for all that we have and how our prayer journal records what we are asking God’s help with in our lives. This will help us see His gifts and the every day improvements made not only in our lives but also the lives of our families and fellow church members.
